✨ New Features
Side Panel — Open Actions in a Sidebar
Configurators can now choose to open action buttons in a dedicated side panel, directly from a search screen or a cockpit, without leaving the current page. This adds a third opening mode alongside the existing modal and full-page redirect options, making it possible to view and edit objects in context.
Benefits:
-
Stay on the current screen while editing: modify an object from a search result without navigating away
-
Flexible button configuration: choose per action whether to open as a modal, a redirect, or a side panel
-
Faster, more intuitive workflows in cockpits and search screens
Task Dashboard — Status Legend
The task dashboard now includes a legend to help users instantly interpret the status indicators displayed for each task. The legend covers three states: tasks currently in progress, tasks already read, and tasks not yet read.
Benefits:
-
Understand task statuses at a glance, with no prior knowledge of color codes required
-
Reduces confusion when monitoring bulk or asynchronous operations in the dashboard
Asynchronous Export Button — Rights-Based Visibility
The export button for asynchronous exports is now only displayed to users who hold the sys.bum-tasks-dashboard right and for whom the export feature is enabled. Previously, the button appeared for all users regardless of permissions, making it inaccessible to those who lacked the required right.
Benefits:
-
Cleaner, role-appropriate interface: users only see controls they can actually use
-
Eliminates confusion caused by a visible but non-functional export button for unauthorized users
Provisioning Connector — Kafka / Message Queuing
A new out-of-the-box Kafka connector is now available, enabling both inbound synchronization and outbound provisioning in real time, driven by Kafka events. The connector supports mutual TLS (mTLS) authentication for secure communication, and complements existing connectors without requiring custom development.
Benefits:
-
Trigger provisioning instantly in response to Kafka events, with no custom connector to build
-
Use Kafka as a new inbound data source or outbound provisioning target alongside existing connectors
-
Secure integrations out of the box with mTLS support
